Every year, South Jersey Magazine rounds up a list of the area’s top physicians and medical providers. Highlighting everyone from primary care doctors to surgical specialists, the list is a “who’s who” of the South Jersey medical community.
This year’s list features 313 names. And one of those names is none other than Dr. Louis Balsama.
While most of the list is based on the votes of South Jersey Magazine’s readers, Dr. Balsama’s name gets a special spot. It’s easy to miss at first glance. But look at the top of the list; you’ll see it under “As Selected By Area Hospitals and Medical Providers.”
What does that mean, you ask? It means Dr. Balsama reputation proceeds him!
South Jersey Magazine reached out to local hospitals and medical providers, asking them to nominate their best and brightest. The publication was specifically looking for doctors who showed “dedication to their patients along with a commitment to advancing health care in South Jersey.” Sounds like Dr. Balsama, doesn’t it?
Well, you’re not the only one who thinks so! Dr. Louis Balsama was nominated by his peers and ultimately named one of South Jersey’s Top Physicians of 2018 for bariatric and general surgery. He is one of only five doctors in the Jefferson Health network to receive this award in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
Of course, Dr. Balsama is no stranger to accolades of this sort. In fact, he’s made it onto South Jersey Magazine’s Top Physicians list every year since 2011. He’s even been featured in their Best Doctors for Women list.
This continued recognition validates what so many of our patients already know: that Dr. Balsama is one of the best. His enthusiasm and work-ethic are unmatched. And his devotion to his patients says more than any list ever could.
